He wedded a progression of life partners with whom he had manychildren including: Athena, The Fates, Ares, Apollo, Artemis, and Hermes. His last, and most notable spouse is Hera yet he is well known for his manyaffairs. Odin is the pioneer of the Norse divine beings and has a bunch of namesincluding Allfather, Ygg, Bolverk (scoundrel), and Grimnir. He likewise includes manyfunctions inside the fantasies including being a lord of war, verse, shrewdness, anddeath. In any case, he isn't viewed as the principle divine force of every one of thesefunctions. Odins image is his otherworldly lance named Grungir which nevermisses its imprint. He likewise possesses an enchantment ring called Draupnir which can createnine of itself consistently. It was this ring Odin laid on his child Baldersfuneral fire and which Balder came back to Odin from the black market. Odinalso has two wolves, Geri and Freki, and two ravens, Hugin (thought) andMunin (memory). He sends his ravens out each day to assemble information forhim. Odin was bound to bite the dust at Ragnarok; Fenris-Wolf gulped him. Knowing his destiny, he despite everything decided to grasp it and do fight, indicating the truewarrior ethic. He is the lord of warriors and rulers, not the normal man. Among his youngsters are:Thor, Hermod, and Balder. He is hitched to Frigg, thegoddess of marriage. The primary evident closeness among Zeus and Odin is intheir appearance. Both are huge men, yet they are not delineated as fatmen. Both look amazing and premonition. They likewise are both demonstrated ashaving facial hair. A whiskers speaks to masculinity, in an extremely fundamental route as facial hairis something that each man can have. In this sense the facial hair as a signaturefeature of these divine beings acquires a feeling of connection to the individuals inside thesocieties that venerated them. In the event that they had an alternate mark include, forexample wings, this would expel the divine beings from the normal man. Thebeard is something standard individuals can identify with. It might likewise be of note thatthe cliché perspective on Vikings and Norsemen quite often includesbeards on the men. Possibly they were attempting to copy their head god ormaybe the god was made in the picture of the conventional man. Here is thedirect examination. Zeus and Odin were individual leaders over the divine beings intheir folklores. Zeus was known for maintaining the law and social request. Infact, one of his titles was Zeus Horkios which truly implies the Guarantor ofOaths. This is very comparable ot Odins recording of the considerable number of laws, contracts andagreements onto his lance which he will undoubtedly maintain. The two of them had theirpalaces in the sky somewhat. Mt. Olympus was extremely high (in themythologies; the genuine Mt. Olympus is a mountain, however not extremely high.) It is alsoimportant to take note of that when the three siblings (Zeus, Poseidon, and Hades)were choosing which part of the world each would get, Zeus picked the sky. .u30272da9e67625b8a185b1885ba7b058 , .u30272da9e67625b8a185b1885ba7b058 .postImageUrl , .u30272da9e67625b8a185b1885ba7b058 .focused content region { min-tallness: 80px; position: relative; } .u30272da9e67625b8a185b1885ba7b058 , .u30272da9e67625b8a185b1885ba7b058:hover , .u30272da9e67625b8a185b1885ba7b058:visited , .u30272da9e67625b8a185b1885ba7b058:active { border:0!important; } .u30272da9e67625b8a185b1885ba7b058 .clearfix:after { content: ; show: table; clear: both; } .u30272da9e67625b8a185b1885ba7b058 { show: square; progress: foundation shading 250ms; webkit-change: foundation shading 250ms; width: 100%; murkiness: 1; change: mistiness 250ms; webkit-progress: darkness 250ms; foundation shading: #95A5A6; } .u30272da9e67625b8a185b1885ba7b058:active , .u30272da9e67625b8a185b1885ba7b058:hover { haziness: 1; change: obscurity 250ms; webkit-change: murkiness 250ms; foundation shading: #2C3E50; } .u30272da9e67625b8a185b1885ba7b058 .focused content territory { width: 100%; position: relat ive; } .u30272da9e67625b8a185b1885ba7b058 .ctaText { fringe base: 0 strong #fff; shading: #2980B9; text dimension: 16px; textual style weight: intense; edge: 0; cushioning: 0; text-embellishment: underline; } .u30272da9e67625b8a185b1885ba7b058 .postTitle { shading: #FFFFFF; text dimension: 16px; text style weight: 600; edge: 0; cushioning: 0; width: 100%; } .u30272da9e67625b8a185b1885ba7b058 .ctaButton { foundation shading: #7F8C8D!important; shading: #2980B9; outskirt: none; outskirt sweep: 3px; box-shadow: none; text dimension: 14px; text style weight: striking; line-stature: 26px; moz-outskirt span: 3px; text-adjust: focus; text-design: none; text-shadow: none; width: 80px; min-stature: 80px; foundation: url(https://artscolumbia.org/wp-content/modules/intelly-related-posts/resources/pictures/basic arrow.png)no-rehash; position: total; right: 0; top: 0; } .u30272da9e67625b8a185b1885ba7b058:hover .ctaButton { foundation shading: #34495E!important; } .u30272da9e67625b8a185b1885ba7b0 58 .focused content { show: table; stature: 80px; cushioning left: 18px; top: 0; } .u30272da9e67625b8a185b1885ba7b058-content { show: table-cell; edge: 0; cushioning: 0; cushioning right: 108px; position: relative; vertical-adjust: center; width: 100%; } .u30272da9e67625b8a185b1885ba7b058:after { content: ; show: square; clear: both; } READ: Chad Vonder Haar: Flippancy is an issue with todays youth EssayThere are numerous accounts of Zeus looking down from Mt. Olympus into the livesof other men. This is additionally the situation with Odin. He could watch different people, gods and humans the same, from his seat Hlidskialf in Asgard, Asgard being thepalace in the sky where the divine beings met. So there are unmistakable similaritiesbetween Asgard and Mt. Olympus: both were in the sky, both considered theobservation of the remainder of the world, both were the gathering place for the godsin their particular legends. The activities of the two divine beings are very importantto take a gander at too. Zeus is notable for going off into the universe of mortalsand attempting to have relations with the humans. Regularly he would changeshape so as to achieve this. He accepting such structures as a bull, swan, goldenshower, and a quail, for instance. This shape-moving was likewise a run of the mill actionof Odin. He changed himself into creatures sporadically, for example, a snake or aneagle. (Strikingly, Zeus is frequently portrayed as a falcon!) But, more regularly thannot, Odin changed himself into The Wanderer. In this structure he was known towear a long dark shroud and a wide overflowed cap that secured or cast shadowsover his missing eye. In this structure he endeavored, on numerous events, to haverelations, regularly producing posterity. There is one story of Odin and Rindwhere Odin must change his shape on different occasions to address the issues of Rindwho he is charming. He changes from chief of her dads armed force to a smithto a warrior lastly is acknowled ged into her arms simply in the wake of taking his naturalform as a divine being. This raises one significant contrast between the two: theattitudes of the two particular spouses of the divine beings, Hera and Frigg. Hera iswell-known for her envious and wrathful responses to Zeus activities. However,Frigg doesn't have a similar response. To see the advancement of thisthought, see the spouses page. Another shared characteristic of the two divine beings is theirinteraction with humans. In both their meeting and helping of these humans Zeusand Odin distinguished certain individuals that they thought about extraordinary and offered themtheir help. This backings the hypothesis that these legends, in light of the fact that theywere serving commonly less-propelled social orders (modernly, socially andintellectually), made divine beings who might descend and genuinely interactwith humans, gave the divine beings a feeling of substance to the general public. At this pointcould a general publ ic have had the option to acknowledge a faultless, all-powerful being, especially one on an astronomical level, as opposed to a physical level? On the off chance that a divine being couldcome to a man and genuinely help him, that would be a motivation to believeand adore. Both of these divine beings have a particular image of intensity. Zeus hashis lighting jolt, and Odin has his lance. Both of these things have a somewhatnegative understanding. Lighting is a dangerous power and a lance is a weaponused to murder. In our general public, divine beings are normally shown to have a very positivelight encompassing them and a weapon may appear to be unusual to us as an image of agod. We should likewise observe that the divine beings both utilized their separate weapons bythrowing them. Possibly this is the start of the musings of a vast element the divine beings didn't need to be genuinely there, yet could extend theirintentions from a remote place. The way that both of these images were d amaging inone structure or another brings up a couple of issues: Were these societies searching for adestructive god? Is it accurate to say that they were still at an express that a crude representation ofman was wanted as a divine being? Were these social orders taking a gander at turmoil anddestruction as being more significant in the general public than request? It might be thatthe dread that they summon will have individuals believing that they can be punished, and in the event that they are rebuffed it won't be a straightforward token punishment, yet rather aspear or lightning jolt flung at them. So I accept that this dread was usedwhen the fantasies were by and large initially molded with the goal that one would

Definition Of Change Management As An Organizational Capability Management Essay
Meaning Of Change Management As An Organizational Capability Management Essay Capable and How, a global administration consultancy firm, spends significant time in helping customers illuminate their interchanges, change and individuals issues. The task saw the light when the gathering was chipping away at a development technique for Rio Tinto . It was then that the gathering made a suggestion that said that the enormous association needs to have a capacity to oversee change and adjust to the unpredictable business conditions so as to develop by 100% in the following 3 years!!! Issue Definition The dabbling over the proposals lead the gathering to address, regardless of whether they can make a meaning of progress the executives as an authoritative ability? In the event that indeed, regardless of whether there are any dependable and valid methods of evaluating and benchmarking the equivalent? The drawn out objective of the gathering is to make a kind of positioning framework that would rate associations on their capacity to oversee change or adjust effectively to the evolving situations. Quest for the Solution It was the mix of challenge, dubiousness of the thought and the information on the mastery at Cass, which lead to Able and How coming to Cass and explicitly to Veronica Hope Hailey to help with venture. Writing Review: The quick changes in the business environment make pressure on associations to execute change activities to fulfill the needs of the partners. Generally, the recurrence and greatness of progress has expanded. In the event that anything one was to take a gander at as a marker of this, it would be the Fortune 1000 rundown of organizations. The rundown shows that somewhere in the range of 1973 and 1983, 35% of the organizations in the best 20 were new, and this has expanded to 60% when we analyze the figures for quite a long time somewhere in the range of 1993 and 2003. This demonstrates progressively more organizations are managing/overseeing changes in their associations to remain ahead. Now, one appropriate inquiry that rings a bell is what is change the executives? Change the executives, as characterized in the Business and Management word reference, is the coordination of an organized time of progress from circumstance A to circumstance B so as to accomplish enduring change inside an association. Change the executives can be of fluctuating extension, from consistent improvement, which includes little progressing changes to existing procedures, to radical and significant change including authoritative methodology. Change the board can be receptive or proactive. It tends to be incited in response to something in an associations outside condition, for instance, in the domains of financial aspects, governmental issues, enactment, or rivalry, or in response to something inside the structures, procedures, individuals, and occasions of the associations inner condition. As a proactive measure, an association may experience change fully expecting state, troublesome financial conditions later on. (Bloomsbury Business Library Business Management Dictiona ry 2007) Change the board is a notable and regarded intends to manage spending cuts, unpredictable prerequisites, and other non fixed center explanations behind task disappointments. The meaning of progress the executives incorporates in any event four fundamental perspectives: (1) the assignment of overseeing change, (2) a territory of expert practice, (3) a collection of information, and (4) a control system. Change can either be automatic and arranged or can be emanant, driven by unexpected outside occasions (Carl and et al, 2010). Boomer recommends that the two scholastics and professionals see change the executives capacity as a key bit of leeway and view change as a control system, which ordinarily results from principles, arrangements and procedures. He goes further to characterize that as a collection of information, change the executives comprises of strategies, devices and methods (Boomer 2008) to effectively deal with the progress starting with one state then onto the next. A great deal of exploration work has occurred around there, particularly in the scholarly world. If one somehow happened to look for change the board, in the previous 20 years, in the business source total, one could find that there are 2515 outcomes in the class of scholastic diaries out of an aggregate of 4309. Besides, the significance of the business can be featured by the nearness of the quantity of counseling firms with refined devices and strategies to assist customers with overseeing change. In any case, even ongoing examinations show that roughly 70% of all arranged hierarchical change activities fall flat (Eaton, 2010). This leaves us asking why The examination done by Beer and Eisenstat in 2000, discusses the best 6 quiet enemies of a change initaitive. They are Top-down or free enterprise senior administration style Hazy methodology and clashing needs An insufficient senior supervisory group Poor vertical correspondence Poor coordination across capacities, organizations or outskirts Lacking down-the-line administration aptitudes and advancement (Brew and Eisenstat, 2000). A ton has been discussed in the scholarly writing and in practioners universe of the prescriptive method to beat these issues, be that as it may, very little has been done to distinguish the causal impact of these and the disappointments of progress activities from that point. As distinguished by Pellettiere, one of the fundamental driver for these disappointments is the absence of an intensive symptomatic examination in an associations availability and hazard for an arranged change. By a careful indicative examination, he means to incorporate both an outer just as an inside investigation utilizing some type of an evaluation to decide the need to change just as an associations status and hazard engaged with an arranged change. He identified that associations have an inclination not to direct an exhaustive inward investigation but instead have an affinity to start convenient solution arrangements, now and again overlooking the unique situation, while executing a change activity (Pelle ttiere, 2006). Thusly, there have been various endeavors to build up a scale to evaluate an undertakings administrative or authoritative capacities to change. Before we go a discussion about a measurement, let us attempt to characterize an associations limit with respect to change. Associations Capacity to Change At the point when an association experiences a change, new hierarchical arrangements must be settled on; item programs must be adjusted; positions must be reallocated; schedules and strategies must be amended; workers preparing programs should be arranged and actualized, etc (Meyer Stensaker 2006). This requires a great deal of exertion. Accordingly, as featured by Meyer and Stensaker (2006), associations that have a limit with regards to making various change forms so as to make manageable change must not just have the capacity (assets and abilities) to change the association effectively, they should likewise have ability to keep up day by day activities and actualize resulting change forms. They characterized change limit as the designation and improvement of progress and operational capacities that continues long haul execution (Meyer Stensaker 2006). An associations capacity in overseeing change ought to guarantee that change ought to occur without crushing the well-working angles in an association or antagonistically influencing resulting changes. This requires the two abilities to change in the short and long haul just as capacities to keep up day by day activities (Meyer Stensaker 2006). Gtaetz and Smith characterize it as an organizations capacity in starting, overseeing and executing basic changes in hierarchical structures and advancement forms (Graetz and Smith, 2005; Self et al., 2007). These allude to an organizations capacity to dispatch and actualize huge scope changes to create hierarchical abilities for quick adjustment, adaptability and development (Graetz and Smith, 2005; Yanni Yan, Ding Mak 2009). This meaning of progress capacity gives us a feeling that the ability is a static preferred position. It very well may be set up by having the correct procedures and structures. In the event that it is so prescriptive, at that point for what reason does it happen that there are associations that are in an ideal situation at changing on account of some obscure components. The response to this was found in the augmentation of the RBV and the crossing point of the equivalent with change the board ability. Appetizing (2006) endeavored at broadening the RBV idea and recognized the terms asset, ability and capacity. He characterized assets as elements that are possessed and constrained by the association or accessible through partnerships and other outer connections though capability is the capacity to utilize the assets to a satisfactory degree of execution towards an attractive reason. Further, he characterized capacities as the capacity to work a particular setup of an associations set of assets and dynamic capacities as the capacity to reconfigure both the utilization and coordination of a particular arrangement and the advancement of new designs of assets, as per changes in the associations condition and key course (Butler, 2009). Dynamic Capability We know the key elements of an effective arranged change contain initiative, visioning, collaboration and correspondence, yet in unique conditions then again, change can barely be arranged ex bet in a point by point and unmistakable way. The most extreme disservices of arranged change can be seen by huge misfortunes temporarily, a high likelihood of a backslide, issues coming up as a consequence of restricted foreknowledge, unadjusted takeover of best practice from an alternate setting, obliviousness of key possibilities, a potential execution slack that makes change effectively obsolete before fruition and an absence of reasonableness for huge scope change matters (Weick, 2000; Burnes, 2004). One particularly extreme disadvantage for hypercompetitive situations is that arranged change quells creative conduct and, along these lines, dismisses the significant trailblazers, developments and versatile procedures for this unique situation (Weick, 2000; Biedenbach Sã ¶derholm 2008). These disadvantages have urged us to think about the proactive, e

The Great Gatsby Symbolism Essay Essays - The Great Gatsby
The Great Gatsby Symbolism Essay The Great Gatsby Symbolism Essay The Hidden Story in Green and White Shading imagery is extremely well known in books composed during the 1920's. One such model is Scott Fitzgerald's epic The Great Gatsby. There is a lot of shading imagery in this novel, yet there are two fundamental hues that stand apart more than the others. The hues green what's more, white impact the story enormously. Green shows numerous considerations, thoughts, mentalities, and decisions that Gatsby has all through the story. White speaks to the cliché faade that each character is holing up behind. The shading green, as it is utilized in the novel, represents various decisions the character, Gatsby, can make during his life. The green component in this novel is taken from the green light at the finish of the dock close to Daisy's home. The shading itself speaks to peacefulness, as in everything is great. This cautions Gatsby that he ought not seek after his fantasy for getting Daisy back, in light of the fact that his possibility has passed and everything is as it ought to be. This is appeared with Nick's understanding, ...His dream must have appeared to be near such an extent that he could barely neglect to get a handle on it. He didn't realize that it was at that point behind him... (Pg.189) Another symbolization of the shading green, which negates the first, is the signifying go. As in a rush hour gridlock light signal, a great many people partner green with the word and activity go. This can be deciphered as importance Gatsby ought to go for his fantasy decisively. It suggests that Gatsby and Daisy are intended to be as one and nothing ought to prevent Gatsby from his predetermined joy and love with Daisy. It rouses trust in Gatsby that he is on the correct way, heading towards the best long periods of his life. He accepts that things will before long be as they used to be, just better. I'm going to fix everything simply the manner in which they were previously, he said gesturing strongly. She'll see.(Pg. 117.) The last symbolization the shading green has in this novel is a desire to endeavor ahead throughout everyday life, to improve throughout everyday life what's more, succeed. Gatsby changes his whole persona for a superior, increasingly friendly, picture and status. He is continually endeavoring to be a progressively effective figure in the public arena. Since the time he was a kid he put himself on a timetable with trusts for turning into a profoundly regarded, notable individual. He realized he had a major future before him. (Pg. 181), his father says about him. Jimmy was bound to excel. He generally had a few purposes like this...(Pg. 182). White is the other shading imagery joined into this novel. Where green just impacted one character, white has a more extensive scope of effect on the characters. This shading represents a certain something, a faade, yet it shows up in each character. For instance, Daisy is constantly observed sporting white, which gives her and guiltless guileless appearance. It is just as she blames that for when she accomplishes something silly or infantile, causing it to appear as though she doesn't have the foggiest idea about any better. In actuality, she knows precisely what she does however simply couldn't care less. She utilizes this little princess picture and her cash to conceal her one-sided, inflated, furthermore, proud perspective on herself and her way of life. As caffeine is a widely accepted and used drug, many people dont believe caffeine can be addictive. While most caffeine users feel they enjoy many of the effects of caffeine, like a good morning boost, they may not be aware of some of the negative effects the drug is having, such as disrupted sleep, irritability, and anxiety. Many people, for example, get into a vicious cycle of drinking coffee to increase energy, only to find themselves both fatigued and unable to relax at bedtime. Some people experience significant problems as a result of their caffeine use, have difficulty coping without caffeine, and experience other unpleasant side effects as a result. There have even been isolated cases of caffeine overdose. What to Know About Caffeine Addiction Caffeine is one of the most widely used addictive substances, and it is heavily marketed to adults, teens, and even children. While coffee is probably the most frequently used source of caffeine, it is also present in many common foods and drinks, so your caffeine intake might be higher than you realize. Caffeine intoxication is recognized in the DSM-5, the manual used by clinicians to classify and diagnose mental health concerns, and caffeine use disorder is identified as requiring further study. Caffeine intoxication and caffeine withdrawal can both be very unpleasant, physically and psychologically, but either can easily be mistaken for a variety of other conditions. For example, people who are intoxicated with caffeine can exhibit similar symptoms as people with attention deficit disorders; caffeine withdrawal shares similar symptoms with mood disorders. Caffeine addiction can cause and exacerbate many different health problems.?? Gradually reducing your daily caffeine intake by increasingly mixing caffeinated beverages with non-caffeinated drinks is the best way to quit caffeine without withdrawal symptoms. Caffeine: Everything Youâve Been Afraid to Ask Symptoms of Caffeine Addiction As caffeine is a stimulant drug, caffeine intoxication causes a cluster of symptoms associated with stimulation of the brain and nervous system. While caffeine users enjoy the increased energy and alertness that caffeine gives them, unpleasant symptoms experienced by many consumers, especially those who are addicted, include: RestlessnessNervousnessExcitementDifficulty sleepingAgitationMuscle twitchingRambling flow of thoughts and speechFlushed faceIncreased heart rateStomach upsetIncreased urination Symptoms of Caffeine Withdrawal Caffeine withdrawal typically causes a rebound effect, producing symptoms that are the opposite of the effects of intoxication. This effect can be profound in those who are addicted to caffeine. The symptom most often noticed by people going through caffeine withdrawal is a severe, intense caffeine withdrawal headache. When coming off caffeine, people often feel very tired and even drowsy. They may have difficulty concentrating, and feel depressed or irritable. Occasionally, people withdrawing from caffeine also experience flu-like symptoms, such as nausea, vomiting, muscle pain, or stiffness. As with all addictions, the pattern of intoxication and withdrawal can mask emotional difficulties that are avoided by seeking out the pleasurable effects of caffeine. Lack of energy, lack of motivation, and depression may underlie caffeine addiction. It can also overlap with work addiction, as some people use the stimulating effects of caffeine both to increase energy for and interest in the mental and physical activities associated with their jobs. Similarly, caffeine addiction can mask the avoidance of more fulfilling activities and relationships. How Skipping Your Morning Coffee or Tea Can Lead to a Headache How Caffeine Addiction Can Look and Feel Like Other Disorders Again, the stimulating effects of caffeine can cause physical symptoms and behaviors that can look and feel like, and therefore be easily confused with, other disorders. Therefore, it is important to let your doctor or psychologist know how much caffeine you are consuming, and how frequently you are doing so if you are being assessed for any condition. For example, caffeine intoxication produces symptoms that can easily be confused with anxiety disorders, such as panic attacks. Using too much caffeine can also worsen symptoms of anxiety disorders in people who are affected, intensifying feelings of worry; increasing racing thoughts; making it difficult to quiet the mind; increasing agitation and shakiness; and preventing relaxation and quality (or any) sleep. However, as with other addictions, you might experience your use of caffeine as calming and temporarily relieving of anxiety. You may feel and even believe it helps you cope. Other health concerns caffeine intoxication can be confused with:?? Manic episodesPanic disorderGeneralized anxiety disorderSleep disorderMigraine and other headachesViral illnessesSinus conditionsIntoxication from other substances (amphetamines, sedatives, hypnotics)Medication-induced side effects, such as akathisia It can also be mistaken for, and worsen symptoms of, withdrawal from other substances, such as amphetamines and cocaine. Stimulant drugs are often cut with caffeine, increasingly the likelihood that caffeine withdrawal is involved in withdrawal from these drugs. Caffeine Can Induce Other Disorders When a disorder is induced by a substance, although it is triggered by substance use, it does meet the criteria for the disorder, rather than simply being an effect of intoxication or withdrawal. Caffeine-induced disorders include caffeine-induced anxiety disorder and caffeine-induced sleep disorder. How Caffeine Can Affect Your Health Caffeine has various effects on the body, which are potentially harmful to health. Caffeine increases heart rate and can cause abnormalities in the heartbeat, so is not recommended for people with cardiovascular problems.?? It also increases blood pressure and affects bone density, increasing the risk of osteoporosis. What to Do If You Think You Might Be Addicted to Caffeine Addiction involves not only excessive use of caffeine but also relying on caffeine to cope with life, typically in spite of negative effects. To figure out whether you might be addicted, go through the following steps: Assess your intake: Calculate how much caffeine you are actually consuming on a typical day, including gourmet espresso, lattes, and cappuccino, which are typically much stronger than regular drip or instant coffee, soda, and other common caffeine-containing foods and drinks. Pay attention to how you feel: Make a note of any side effects of caffeine, as well as withdrawal symptoms that happen if you miss a regular dose of caffeine. Consider the effects: Think about the effects of caffeine or withdrawal symptoms you experience if you miss a regular dose, and how they have affected your feelings, functioning, and relationships??. For example, do you get irritable if you have too much or too little caffeine? Do you experience headaches or fatigue if you miss a dose of caffeine? Most importantly, do you feel you need caffeine to get through the day? Next Steps to Consider If you feel that your responses to any of the above seem alarming, speak to your healthcare provider. If you are pregnant, trying to get pregnant, or breastfeeding, talk to your doctor about your caffeine intake as soon as possible. Similarly, if you have another health problem that might be impacted by your caffeine use, such as a cardiovascular problem, discuss options with your doctor right away.?? The vicious cycle of addiction happens with caffeine, just as it does with other addictive substances. As the effects of caffeine wear off, you might feel a crash in energy and that you cant keep going without another boost of caffeine.?? As withdrawal can make you feel worse, it is important for most people to reduce your caffeine intake gradually rather than abruptly to get the maximum benefit from quitting or reducing caffeine. Your doctor can help you devise a plan. 1:40 7 Quick Tips to Help with Caffeine Withdrawal If you feel you are using excessive amounts of caffeine to cope with an ongoing emotional problem, such as depression or anxiety, also talk to your physician about options for treating these problems. The right treatment could make a huge difference for you. Caffeine addiction often overlaps with other behavioral addictions,?? such as sugar addiction, so you might find that evaluating your caffeine intake opens up a Pandoras box of other behaviors that need to be addressed. If you dont feel you are addicted to caffeine, but you do feel you are consuming more than is healthy, you can choose to either reduce your caffeine intake or cut out caffeine altogether. The most common mistake, in either case, is to cut down by too much too soon, causing you to relapse due to an intense headache.?? Instead of cutting your caffeine intake in half, try reducing your regular intake by about 10 percent every two weeks; reduce the strength of your last caffeinated drink of the day by diluting it with an uncaffeinated drink. A Word From Verywell Caffeine addiction is so common we dont even notice it most of the time. But the feeling of getting back in touch with your own natural energy, and having the ability to relax when night falls, is unparalleled when you able to greatly reduce or quit caffeine.

Sample details Pages: 3 Words: 775 Downloads: 4 Date added: 2019/04/15 Category Sports Essay Level High school Topics: Soccer Essay Did you like this example? This article talks about how headers in soccer affect male and female brains. Michael Lipton, a neuroscientist at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine, led this research project. He gathered a sample group of 98 athletes who he tested and gathered data from. Donââ¬â¢t waste time! Our writers will create an original "Soccer Headers Cause More Damage" essay for you Create order 49 were female and 49 were male. All were adults, but they varied in amount of headers they hit in the past year. Previous research states that women take longer to recover from brain injuries than men. They also suffer five times more than males in brain injuries. The article talks about why females are more likely to suffer from brain injuries due to heading the ball than males. Michael Lipton and his research group used magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) to look into the heads of the athletes and get a better look at the brain. Magnetic resonance imaging is a machine that works like an transmission electron microscope (TEM), except it uses technology to look inside our body rather than electron beams. MRIs cover a bigger surface. The MRI results stated that females white matter regions of their brain signal carriers structure were progressively getting worse. Whereas, in males there were only three regions whose structures were getting worse. In addition to this, males only had a 400 cubic millimeters average of brain tissue damage. While, females had an average of 2,100 cubic millimeters of damage. The data supports the hypothesis that women suffer more brain damage than males. In addition, females are more prone to brain damage than males. There isnt enough scientific evidence to explain why there is a difference between male and female brain damage. However, Michael Lipton has two reasons that may be able to explain why there is a sex difference. Women tend to have less support from the neck to the skull, which in turn means that women have less stability than males. Females usually have less muscle mass than males, that is why they suffer more from whiplash. During certain times in the menstrual cycle, females have less progesterone. Progesterone is a hormone that helps with swelling in the brain and protection. Therefore, women are more likely to suffer from brain injuries during their menstrual cycle. Researchers want to continue and see whether or not there will be long term effects to the white matter regions. Since there isnt enough research and data on this matter, it is highly recommended that extra head protection be worn during games and practice, especially for the youth. This research can lead us into doing more in order to secure the protection of the brain. It is a vital organ, and we must take better care of it. The way that this article relates to exam two is due to signaling. We learned about cell signaling and receptors. In order for a cell to accept and run through the signal, there must be a receptor to pick up and relay the signal. In addition, we learned about local and long-distance signaling. In the article it talks about progesterone which is a hormone. I know that hormones are a long-distance signal. The way they travel is by specialized cells releasing the hormone progesterone, and that travels to the target cells through the circulatory system. That is how the brain gets progesterone and is protected from swelling. I also related the TEM to an MRI. I know that they are both different concepts, but they work in a similar way. MRI looks inside your body (brain and intestines), and TEM looks inside a cell (chloroplast and mitochondria). That is how I was able to understand what and MRI is. I chose to go with an article that talks about the brain. I find it amusing to learn about. There is so much research on the brain, but it is such a complex structure that the current research isnt enough. We continue to learn more and more about the brain. I love learning about how it works and how there are differences between males and females. I was also drawn to this article due to the fact that I play soccer. I want to see if I did cause any damage to my brain through soccer. My coaches made us wear headgear during games and practice. It is one of the most uncomfortable things you will ever wear. I never wore it at practice because I didnt think it was that big of a deal. However now I know the risk involved of not wearing head protection. I am confused on why headgear isnt mandatory. We arent sure of the effects are long term, but when it comes to the brain, I am taking no chances.

The company believes that it is the HR Team that provides a string base to company through selecting and recruiting the highly skilled, well educated, and compatible candidates for the company (Alexander Lewer, 2004). The HR department is also responsible for the training of these newly employed candidates, thus the company looks forward for the strategies and recommendations from the same. The concerned service that has been agreed upon is the recruitment and selection process. The purpose of the same is to highlight the key strategies and responsibilities of each of the stakeholders that help in the attainment of diverse and effective work force of the company. Recruitment refers to the process of selecting, screening, and influencing the qualified individuals for a position in the company (Grace Cohen, 2005). The same is conducted and executed under the supervision of HR Team, Recruiter and Human Resources Officer being the biggest contributor in the same. The concerned process of recruitment and selection is not an easy one as it requires the knowledge of both the companys demand and the candidates skills. A recruiter not only evaluates an individual, in response to the job qualifications and person specification, but also examines the same regarding his past experiences, present personality, and future prospects (Deery et al., 2001). Thus, it is the cooperation and determination of each of the staff members associated with the same procedure that bring about the desired outcomes and results. Through investing heavily in the associated department of Human Resources and supporting the significant strategies formulated by the same, the company attempts to enhance the level of effectiveness of each of the HR Departments practices. Benefits of Effective Recruitment and Selection An effective or efficient recruitment and selection procedure is the one wherein the candidate selected for a certain position who meets the each job requirements, person specifications, and companys requirement (Jones, 2009). The company is comprised of several departments, each serving or contributing to the success or development of company at a global level. Thus, it is essential that the HR department or team recruits and selects the highly skilled, well educated, and compatible employee for the company. The department undergoes several steps and procedures to attain its target that is to provide the related company with a diverse and efficient work force. The two of the main reasons that evident the significance and importance of effective recruitment and selection are as follows (Noe et al., 2014): Improvement in the overall business both financially and non financially, such as positive global recognition Appropriate return on investment The company is well aware of the benefits offered by the diverse and efficient work force, thus heavily invest on the associated department of Human Resources and support each of the significant strategies adopted or developed by the same. The company believes that it is the employees that contribute maximally to the attainment and achievement of overall objectives in desired time period. Since, these employees represent a company at the global market and deal with the customers at the closest, it is essential that the HR department conducts and executes its duties and responsibilities. Many entrepreneurs believe that since, both the technology and significant strategies are all the product of humans creativity and innovation skills, the work place environment and standards must be developed flexible enough that can be altered in required time frame (Huczynski, 2006). The effectiveness of organizational standards is also based on the extent to which HR Department recruits the efficient work place for the company. Thus, the effective HR practice becomes much more important for the growth and development of company in the desired market place. Human Resources Required To efficiently conduct each of the outlined strategy, the company would require the agreement of other associated stakeholders. A company is associated with certain stakeholders that provide different suggestions and recommendations for each of the business practices. To attain maximal output and working for the best interest of stakeholders, the company attempts to take in the significant perspective of each of the stakeholder groups. The purpose is to develop a unified and widely accepted strategy or procedures for the attainment of efficient work force of the company. The whole recruitment and selection procedures will require the commitment and work of the overall HR team, including the recruiters and Human Resources Officer being the biggest contributors in the same. It is essential that each of the staff members, associated with the same department or team, work efficiently toward their duties and responsibilities. Other than these human resources, the company requires the agre ement of other stakeholders as well, these stakeholders are as follows: Candidates Staff Members Senior Management Team Executives and Directors It is the agreement of each of the stakeholders that will decide if the outlined strategy or HR procedures are the adequate one. Each of the staff members will be work towards outlining the most influential and realistic job description and person specification regarding a certain job post. These job descriptions will further be advertized and distributed to make the people well aware of the significant career opportunities offered by the company itself. Technology Outlining of the job description is just a part done, the nest step is to make the wide audience well aware of the same. it is the advancement in the technology that has provided the company with the multiple and advantageous options for the distribution of the same. The technologies that will be required to communicate effectively with stakeholders and to reach the quality candidates include telephone gadgets and networks, computer systems and internet, and other modern technology services. The best way to reach and communicate with the stakeholders is e mails as it helps in discussing the key issues and sharing the thoughts regarding the numerous profession related topics. The significance of utilizing the e mails in the recruitment and selection process is that it helps in automatically recording of the whole conversation with the stakeholders and responding to the registration or query of candidates. Website of the company having the online system of recruitment not only saves the amount of time wasted on uploading the information of candidates but also saves the extra cost spent on the reviewing and comparing the personal information of candidates with the outlined job description. Website and the e mails are also some of the significant tools or communication channels that is utilized by the company for the advertisement and promotional activities. Other these, telephones, notices, newspaper articles, and social media are also the technology aspects that will be utilized by the company for reaching skilled and qualified candidates. Gather Information The online data base management system and the e mails are the key tools that will be utilized by the company to record and maintain the personal information and queries of each of the candidates registered for applying for a particular post.Training The company is determined and committed towards providing the HR team and other staff members with effective training and coaching sessions so that each of them is well aware of his / her responsibilities and duties towards conducting an effective recruitment and selection process. The training sessions will also be conducted to inform them of the needs and requirements of company for a particular candidate. External Business Requirement The human resources requirements of the company are greatly dependent on the level of competition and the demand of companys products or services. Thus, the requirements of the number of candidates at a particular position, job description, person specifications, and the strictness of the selection procedure have been drafted in accordance with each of them (Dessler Walker, 2007). The company is committed towards the betterment of overall organizational structure that can only be attained through the development of an effective work force. An effective work force for the company is the one that is innovative, creative, committed, trustworthy, and hard working enough to maximally contribute to the development and success of company. Strategic and Operational Plan The company is associated with two basic activities, including strategizing and operations. It is the skill and talent of each of the employees that help in the development of significant strategies, whereas it is the hard work and determination of each of the same that help the company conduct adequate operations, in alignment with the companys needs. Strategies and Action Plans The delivery of the overall recruitment and selection process will be conducted by each of the staff members associated with the related department under the supervision of Human Resources Officer. The effectiveness and success of the recruitment and selection process is also dependent on the recruiters efficiency, thus the company has determined itself to offer the recruiters with much needed information regarding the overall procedure and requirements of the company. As outlined in the Service Level Agreement, the recruiters and Human Resources Officer will be expected to conduct each of their responsibilities efficiently. Performance standards The company has also drafted the performance standards that will directly recognize the quality of recruitment and selection process conducted, time period required, and the associated cost. Each of these has been decided upon after the agreement of each of the associated stakeholders. This was necessary to maintain stronger relationship with each of the stakeholders. Guiding Principles The purpose of the effective recruitment and selection process is to attract highly skilled, well educated and high caliber applicants and to conduct the recruitment or selection procedures effectively in alignment with the outlined standards, while providing equal opportunities each of the applicants / candidates to demonstrate his / her capabilities in a cost effective manner. This acts as the primary guiding principle for the same. Evaluation of Performance against the Standard The evaluation or measurement of the outcomes against the planned performance standards is based on three key aspects; these include input, output, and outcome or impact of the same. In other words, the measurement will be conducted through recognizing / comparing: The intended final, intermediate, and initial result of the process with the achieved outcome The change in the conditions, skills, knowledge, attitude, and behavior at the community, system, agency, or individual level The immediate or direct result of the overall process The resources utilized as the input to develop outcomes and outputs Other ways that may be utilized by the company include the following: In person survey Self administered survey and questionnaire Review of documents Focus Group Interview Observation Each of the outlined qualitative and quantitative measures will be conducted to evaluate the mentioned aspects. The utilization of these different methods or tools will help the company is recognizing the key improvement areas and the challenges that the HR team or the company has been facing. However, the limitation is that this requires greater level of efforts from each of the staff members associated with the same department. Thus, the company has made sure that the HR team sticks to the quantitative one rather than the qualitative one more. The same has been adopted as the contingency plan to address the issues regarding the performance of the human resources team or service providers including the unethical behavior and under - performance. The whole of the process will also be conducted under the supervision of higher authorities, including the Human Resources officer. Responsibilities and Requirements The company has drafted certain obligations and requirements that each of the staff member of HR must address while executing the recruitment and selection process. The company believes in the development of a diverse workforce as the company is associated with different activities, thus it will require the people from different backgrounds for the attainment of companys overall objectives. The company has also outlined certain occupational health and safety standards so that none of the employee gets harmed or damaged. These standards will support the development of diverse and safe work environment for the company. Other than these each of the job descriptions, person specifications, and requirements has been incorporated and outlined in alignment with the business goals, companys policies, legislations for anti discrimination, industrial relations, and equal employment opportunities. The company is aimed at getting the applications from each of the qualified applicant and to interview all the applicants that are physically disabled but meet the minimum criteria (Brash, 2006). Each of the applicants who have completed their applicant forms will be adequately informed if they have been rejected or short listed for the next stage, within one week, thus reflecting the compliance with ethical standards. The overall process has been developed after assessing an effective costs benefit analysis as follows: Figure 1: Cost Benefit Analysis of Recruitment and Selection Process The overall process also addresses the current and potential risk analysis following the below provided steps: Each of the associated risks have been planned to adequately address with the utilization of advanced technology, while keeping the costs least possible. Roles and Responsibilities of the People The information in between both the external and internal stakeholders will be generally communicated through the utilization of modern internet or network services, including the e 0 mails, websites, phone conversations, and personal meetings. However, each of the information being communicated will be adequately recorded within a data base management system. The roles and responsibilities have been outlined within the Service Level Agreement and it is expected that each of the stakeholders perform the same in alignment with the ethical and legal obligations (Baker McKenzie, 2008). The primary responsibility of each of the stakeholders is to support and advice for the enhancement in the effectiveness and efficiency of overall recruitment and selection process. The stakeholders are expected to identify the key improvement areas and provide the significant recommendations for the betterment of the same. Implementation of SLA The SLA is expected to attain its aim and objective with the commitment and determined work each of the stakeholders associated with the overall recruitment and selection process. The company believes that through effective monitoring and effective training, the SLA can easily be implemented in an effective manner (Banister Harding, 2006). The costs benefit analysis and risk analysis also supports the efficiency and effectiveness of each of the recruitment and selection procedures.
